Attorney Uche’s client, a college student was arrested and charged with participating in a brutal murder in 2013 by a Cook County Major Task Force comprised of several Cook County Towns.  

Attorney Uche’s Client’s innocence was apparent from the initial investigation, yet members of the Cook County Major Task Force employed hours-long aggressive interrogation techniques, an illegal ride-along and verbal threats all of which culminated with a fabricated and coerced confession.

Attorney Uche filed a lawsuit alleging Fifth Amendment violations and malicious prosecution. After close to 3 years of litigation and numerous depositions, the Village of Harwood Heights, The Village of Arlington Heights as well as Cook County, settled the case for a significant confidential sum.
